DECORATING FOR CHRISTMAS: On Saturday, December 6, at 10:00 in the morning, The Friendship Guild will be decorating the church for Christmas. If anyone would have a couple of hours in the morning, or even one hour, to help us, we would greatly appreciate your help! Many hands make the work easier to accomplish! Please, mark this date on your calendar, and plan to join us in the church for some decorating fun!!
DAILY DEVOTIONS FOR ADVENT: As we ready our homes, churches, and hearts for Christmas, we often turn to familiar decorations—evergreens, lights, the crèche, and wrapped gifts. These symbols of the season do more than beautify our spaces; they invite us to reflect on the coming of Christ. Each day from December 1 through January 6, explore the 2025 Advent Devotion Series “Every Heart Prepare”. Learn how these beloved decorations point us toward Jesus’ birth. Through Scripture, a short message, and a prayer, these daily devotions help us prepare not just our surroundings, but also our hearts, for the arrival of our Savior. Pick up your copy of “Every Heart Prepare” located on the table in the back of the church. One copy per household please.
NEED FREE PREK FOR YOUR 4-YEAR-OLD, or know someone that does? The Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is Michigan’s free PreK program for eligible four-year-olds. Trinity now has openings in their GSRP program. Students must turn four by December1st to be eligible. Enrollment is open to all families regardless of income. For more information scan the QR code or email Rebecca Setula at rsteffey@trinitymonitor.org.
FOOD BAGS FOR CHRISTMAS: Trinity is working with Auburn Area Food Bank to donate 100 bags for Christmas Dinner for the needy in the area. Pick up a bag today, and return it to Trinity by December 17th. Thank you so much. –Stewardship Committee
GRACE YOUR CLOSET @ GRACE AUBURN: Grace Your Closet is a free clothing closet open to anyone in our local community. We are open to the public on the third Saturday of each month from 9:00am–noon. Donations of new or gently used clothing and shoes for men, women, and children are always welcome and are tax deductible. Our biggest need is for children’s clothing in all sizes. We DO NOT take any garage/rummage/estate sale leftovers. We do not take hangers, purses, men’s suits/neckties, or household items. We do not accept anything but like-new, clean clothing, shoes, boots, and coats. Clothing donations can be dropped off at Grace Lutheran Church (303 Ruth St, Auburn) on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am–noon, or the 3rd Thursday of the month from 9:00am-noon. If you have a large donation (anything over 3 bags/boxes) we ask that you call to schedule a drop off time. We appreciate your help in making Grace Your Closet a larger impact on our local communities. If you have additional questions call our church office at (989)662-6161.
