I was born and raised in Harvard, IL. There I attended St. Paul Lutheran Church and was active in Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and Youth Group. I was confirmed at St. Paul in 1973 by Pastor Behling. After many years of piano instruction my dad encouraged me to pursue organ as there was a need for organists at St. Paul. I served as one of three young organists until attending college.

After graduating from Harvard High School I attended Illinois State University in pursuit of an accounting degree. After the first semester at ISU I knew God was calling me to church work and I transferred to Concordia Teachers College in River Forest, IL to begin my sophomore year. At Concordia I was active in band, youth ministry groups, volunteer work, and I had an opportunity to tour Europe via bicycle! My formal organ instruction for church music began at Concordia under the teaching of Dr. Zeddies. Opportunities arose to occasionally play for chapel at Concordia, some local churches, and at my home congregation.

Upon graduating from Concordia College, River Forest in 1981, I accepted a call to Trinity Lutheran Church (Monitor) to teach 5th and 6th grades, direct choir, and serve as one of three organists. Handbells were purchased in 1984, and I started the KlingendeGlocken (adult) and Jubilation (student) bell choirs. In the fall of 1985 I married Dan Feinauer, a member of Trinity. After the conclusion of the 1985-1986 school year I took a break from full time teaching to raise our four boys. For the next thirteen years I did substitute teaching in the area, continued giving piano lessons, and continued to serve at Trinity as organist and handbell director. In 1999, I accepted a contract to return to full time teaching at Trinity---back in my former classroom!!

Though I have many interests, my greatest joy is to see students grow in their faith. It is a delight to see them learn and apply Biblical teachings in their everyday lives! Thank you to the members of Trinity for your dedication and support of Lutheran education.
